Programs

This class helps children become comfortable with putting their head underwater and learning to hold their breath. They will start learning the basics of swimming using the freestyle stroke, as we do not teach the doggy paddle due to its inefficiency. Emphasis is placed on promoting a positive attitude and safe practices around water, with special attention to reinforcing the child's comfort with going underwater and overcoming any fear.

PREREQUISITES: 6 years of age before the first lesson

WHAT TO BRING: Bring your own towel and swim suit

REGISTRATION: When registering for swimming lessons, do not over-estimate your child's swimming abilities. It is easier to move your child into a higher level if necessary. Advanced registration is required for swimming lessons and space is limited, so sign-up early. Please don't show up to the pool the first day of lessons and try to get into a class.
